Our lives are constantly changing, bringing about transitions that may reflect happiness, as well as periods of increased stress. The tools we use to help us cope with life’s ever-changing seasons play a big part our ability to manage our emotional health. For many what we bring to the symbolic table of life is informed by our history, family, culture, and lived experiences. I work collaboratively with clients to establish goals for therapy based on their needs. I tailor treatment for clients using relational-cultural, family systems, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral frameworks to address a wide array of mental health issues including relationship issues, career transitions, family dynamics and parental guidance, academic performance, eating and weight, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, grief and loss, and women’s health. My extensive training and professional experience in culturally responsive mental health treatment allows me to work with a diverse clientele of children, adolescents, and adults integrating important aspects of identity such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability, religion, and social class.
